My wife and I had an incredible experience at CR Beach Barn! Sylwia is a fantastic guide, for both experienced and inexperienced riders. The horses were beautiful and very well taken care of. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone traveling to the area!

The best option for riding horses on the beach. Silvia was so kind and it showed in how she treats her horses. I did not want to ride the horses in Jaco due to their condition.

We had such a wonderful ride that we booked a second time two days later! The sunset ride was gorgeous but the water is so pretty on the morning ride. Both are great times to go (sunset is probably a bit less sunny/hot). We saw a sloth in the tree on the property and several parrots flying overhead and other birds on the beach. We even drank right from fresh coconuts!
Sylwia was very friendly and a great guide and took lots of pictures for us. The horses (and all the animals on the property) are well taken care of and in great body condition. The horses were relaxed and easy to ride, didn't care about dogs barking or anything that could be spooky on the beach. Sylwia really cares about her animals and believes in kind training methods. If you're looking for a wonderful, ethical ride, this is it!
(Don't worry about the ear position in the photos, Brownie has resting airplane ears, he was not grumpy or in pain at all!)

Amazing, impressive, and truly unforgettable.
We are a family with three school-age daughters, all first-time riders, and we simply loved every moment of this experience. From the surprise encounter with a sloth at the barn (apparently one of three living nearby!) to the breathtaking sunset ride along the beach, everything was pure magic. The horses were gentle, the scenery spectacular, and the entire outing wonderfully organized.
A huge thank-you to CR Beach Barn for making this such a special family memory.

Amazing - I’ve never ridden a horse and I had the best time - Sylvia trains the horses so well that the instructions she gave to control them were so easy and worked - I went out at first with her holding a rope on my horse because I was scared but within a few minutes I wa son my own and didn’t look back!! No doubt I must stress that the horse are well fed and well looked after and trust me that’s not the norm so that was amazing and the trip as a whole was very special as it was our silver anniversary and very romantic walking on the sand and in and out of the seas - anyway the best experience don’t go with anyone else- Sylvia is your person

12 day vacation in Costa Rica. This was our favorite activity. Sylvia was a wonderful person that immediately showed us several sloths in her front yard. This was our first sloths to see, and didn’t even have to pay for a sloth tour. She has gentle beautiful horses and we felt very comfortable riding them. she is extremely intelligent and was a pleasure to talk to during our over one hour ride. Told us a lot about the area. Highly recommend.

The owners were incredibly nice, and the horses were well taken care of. We especially loved that the owner took pictures for us and Airdropped them quickly afterward!
